![]() Several weeks ago my wife and I went on a cruise up into Canada for ten days. It was a good trip and I was able to capture some good sound effects during our travels. One of my favorite was the sound of the wind blowing against our room from outside the balcony. I have been wanting to get this particular sound for a while. I have been able to use it for several new sounds including a new one I call "Magical Winter Blizzard". Take a listen to it below. In addition to the wind I recorded on the ship I added some "magic" bell sounds to create a neat Christmas effect. This sound is available for purchase on AudioJungle. ![]() For the last several years after we celebrate Thanksgiving with our family, along with my four sisters and their extended families. Each year my oldest sister, Robin and her husband Mike spend Thanksgiving night with us and we typically go to breakfast the next morning at The Boathouse around 9:30am and then we hit Uptown Market here in Wilmington, NC where my sister loves to shop for Christmas gifts and then on to an antique store she likes to visit. Sometimes I find some good sound making treasures at Uptown Market to add to my collection. This year I found some small Christmas bells and put them to good use to make a few different Christmas "jingly" sounds. These sounds will be available on AudioJungle in the next several days. Take a listen to one I entitled "Soft Jingly Bells" below. Merry Christmas folks!! ![]() I just returned for a few days down at Little Pee Dee State Park outside of Dillon, SC with my good friend and former college roommate Richard Hall. As usual, we enjoyed making new memories together and all the laughter that went along with them. The shot on the left is the lake that sat in front of our cabin. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed getting some new sound effects including a Pileated Woodpecker (Woody Woodpecker) pecking on a dead tree. We also got some campfire sounds one afternoon when things were nice and quiet. A nice campfire or fireplace can be so soothing and relaxing! Take a listen below to the woodpecker and campfire sounds. These sounds will be available on AudioJungle within the next several days. ![]() We're excited to announce that Apple Hill Studios is now on Motion Array!
