I just returned from a four day three night trip to Washington DC. My wife and I took the train up on Sunday and enjoyed seeing several must see sites of our nation's capital. We particularly enjoyed the Modern Museum Of Art. Though it was a little on the cool side, it was nice to see the city without tons of people that you get during the Spring & Summer. We enjoyed some great food at Old Ebbitt's Grill and L'adente. I especially enjoy Italian food so L'adenta was a real treat. If you ever go check out their 40 layer Lasagna. It's amazing!! Of course I took along my trusty recording devices and captured several sounds including some museum room ambience. I also captured several urban street traffic scenes and some great train sounds. These sounds will be available on AudioJungle & Motion Array. Take a listen below to some of the museum room ambience. One of my most favorite movie soundtrack songs is the theme from the movie The Deer Hunter "Cavatina". It was written and performed by John Williams. Every time I hear it I am moved and it invokes deep feelings. I wrote and recorded "Love Again" a few years ago in an attempt to invoke similar feelings. It was recorded with a Yari Alvarez Classical Guitar using Neumann Km84 vintage microphones. It is now available as a download on Motion Array. Take a listen below and dream about the one you love! We are very happy to announce that Apple Hill Studios is now the number 7th highest Author for AudioJungle. Considering that there are over 10,000 authors on AJ we are quite proud of this accomplishment! This starts our 10th year with AudioJungle and our sales continue to rise each month. December 2023 was our best month ever! Whoop! Whoop! We anticipate 2024 being an amazing year as we continue to grow and build our library and offer our productions on amazing platforms like AudioJungle, Pond5, Sonniss and Motion Array. I enjoyed an overnight trip to New Bern, NC along with a ride to Beaufort, NC and Moorhead City, NC. I stayed downtown at the Marriott Courtyard which was just to the left of where this photo was taken. It was nice to have such easy access to recording the seagulls and ducks that were out in the water. New Bern is a delightful coastal Historic town and a short getaway from Wilmington, NC where I live. Take a listen below to one of my seagull sound effects. They are now available on AudioJungle and soon Motion Array. |
