I've written and recorded several Jazz Guitar Music Songs over the past several days. I'm particularly enjoying writing to a Bossa Nova drumbeat. Most of the songs include electric guitar (Gretsch Country Gentleman), upright bass, electric piano, percussion and drums but on some I'm adding some nice piano, orchestral strings and flutes. I'm also producing some easy listening folk music using acoustic guitar and indian flute. More to come on that later.

I love playing a variety of instruments but my favorite by far is acoustic guitar. I especially enjoying soft, easy listening ballads that are soothing and relaxing. I have been working on producing some classic hymns with acoustic guitar. Today I had a purchase from the Washington National Cathedral for my version of the classic hymn "In The Garden" that I recorded a couple of years ago. It brings me much pleasure to know that my music can help soothe the souls of others especially in these scary and trying times.

With additional time in the studio due to the Coronavirus I have been writing and recording a ton of new music. A friend of mine loaned me a 1950's Gibson ES-125 and I have been putting it to use! It's a great guitar to use if you want that vintage 1950's rock & rock sound and it works great for Jazz music as well. I have written several 50's Rock (think Elvis) songs as well as several Jazz tunes. In addition to the Gibson 125, my Gretsch Country Gentleman is a wonderful guitar for Jazz. I particular enjoy the relaxed, smooth Jazz guitar pieces. More to come!

Coronavirus is rewriting history books right now and it is interesting and sad times for our world as so many struggle with this horrible disease. The Teachey family is doing our best to stay home and away from the masses. I have always been a "hugger" and it is so hard to not be able to express affection to so many people that I love and come into contact with - especially my kids and grandkids. But I know we must err on the side of caution. My heart breaks for so many who have lost loved ones because of this terrible pandemic. God promises to never abandon us and I am hopeful for our future. This too shall pass. Be safe!!!!
