I have been adding various game sounds to my library the last few weeks. Some of them are from using coin dropping sounds and music I've created and some have been from recording various coin and arcade machines from a wilmington pizza restaurant/arcade. Fortunately, the owner of the restaurant/arcade allowed me to come in early in the morning before customers and staff arrived to be able to acquire quiet recordings. I used a stereo pair of DPA 4060 mics along with my Zoom F8 recorder to capture the arcade sounds.
Below is a sample of a several of the game sounds that I'm offering for sale as a Bonus Point Pack. Listen here: Bonus Point Pack And an Arcade Sound: Inserting Coin Into Machine Thanks to my friend Troy Moore, who manages Inlet Watch near Carolina Beach, I recently spent a good hour or so recording various Boat Sounds. Troy and his staff were very helpful and I appreciate their hospitality. Though it was a bit cool, it was an absolutely beautiful day out to grab some sounds. Unfortunately, we were unable to get sounds from an Otter family who live at Inland Watch. That would have been the icing on the cake! I used my DPA 4060 mins (stereo pair) in a Rode Blimp along with my Zoom F8 recorder to capture the sounds.
