This past week I took a dive into producing some Middle Eastern soundtracks. I started with one and enjoyed it so much I followed it with three more compositions by the end of the week! I've been using traditional instruments from EastWest Sounds and the new BBC Symphony Orchestra along with live instruments to produce these tracks. On one of the songs I even added in my first guitar which was a gift from my Dad when I was 9 years old. It's an inexpensive little "Western Auto DelRay" acoustic that actually sounds quite horrible to my ears now. It has some serious "twang" to it but worked great as a background sound on one these new compositions. My Neumann KM84 microphone pair captured the twang quite well and when I tripled tracked it and mixed it down it helped bring out a live feel to the track.
